  • En janvier 2015, on a rapporté par erreur que Carter a été la victime d'un meurtre impliquant Suge Knight en Californie. La victime s'appelait aussi Terry Carter, mais était beaucoup plus jeune (55 ans) que l'acteur âgé à l'époque de 86 ans. Carter a publié plusieurs déclarations par les médias pour prouver qu'il était toujours en vie.[1]
